Full Upper Jaw Reconstruction with Dental Implants: A Case Study

The Patient’s Case: Total Edentulism & Bone Deficiency

The patient visited our dental clinic in Tbilisi seeking treatment for total tooth loss in the upper jaw. However, a major challenge was identified during the initial assessment: a large bone defect in the upper left maxilla. This condition made it impossible to place dental implants without first restoring the missing bone structure.

To ensure a stable and long-lasting solution, our team of maxillofacial surgeons designed a two-phase treatment plan that included jaw reconstruction followed by dental implant placement.

Step 1: Jaw Reconstruction with Bone Grafting

The first step involved performing a bone grafting procedure using an autogenous bone transplant.
